Post-Impressionist painter and engraver, Alfred-Marie Le Petit was a student of Cormon and Bonnat at the Fine Arts, he also received training from Albert Lebourg. Strongly influenced by Impressionism early on, he exhibited regularly in Paris at the Fine Arts National, Salon of Autumn, Independents and Tuileries. After 1930, he painted mostly the Seine shores by Frette where the painter Albert Marquet also worked. (Soure Bénézit).
