Infantry rifle with percussion, 1842 model. Round barrel with canted lugs dated 1845. Breech tip struck 1842. Flat-bodied backplate signed “MRE RLE de St Etienne”. Round-bodied hammer. Marked iron fittings. Walnut cross with reception seal remnants. Iron ramrod.
