Meissen. Small porcelain chamber pot, 18th-19th Century


GERMANY, Meissen

Small elongated shape known as “bourdalou” porcelain chamber pot with relief decoration of strewn flowers with yellow and ochre pistils enhanced with green foliage. Branch-shaped handle with perched great tit pecking. Gilt threading on border.

Late 18th-Early 19th Century

Height: 12 cm (4-3/4 in.) - Length: 19 cm (7-1/2 in.)

Repairs on spout and leaves. Missing tit’s tail.
