Modern and very stylized gouache of Buddha’s or Buddhapada’s footprints. Same length for five toes. The ball of each foot depicts the Wheel of Life or Dharmachakra and surrounded by prints from auspicious Buddhist symbols like the triple jewels (triratna) represents Buddha, his teachings dharma and his community (sangha), mythological Asian creatures (makara), one turle, one humped bull, elephants, horses, rabbits, birds, fish and flowers.
Sometimes the feet represent the 32, 108 (like this painting) or 132 Buddha marks displayed as a spoke.
