In 8 octavo, brown Morocco leather, large gilt floral decoration and polychrome mosaic ornating the boards, ribbed back as well as ornated with floral mosaic decoration, all edges gilt, Morrocan doublure ornated with another gilt floral decoration and mosaic, green woven watered silk end papers, conserved cover, case (René Kieffer).
Frontispiece bears the author's portrait in medallion and twelve etchings by Adolphe RICHARD.
Printing of 118 on laid paper, this one (no. 85), printed by M. Morizet, one of 100 nominatives comprising, without certification, a supplementary set of etchings before title vignette.
