Masterpiece or compagnonnage work, first-half 19th Century

Height : 17 cm (6.6in) - Depth : 14,5 cm (5.7 in) - Width : 17,5 cm (6.8 in)

This box, probably realized in the first half of the 19th Century demonstrates a mechanism of double secrets. Indeed, the action of the main cylinder is in connection with two flaps with handles hidden in the facade. Their opening is triggered by a system of pulls with balls situated under the box. It is therefore impossible to open the box with the key only, unless one has knowledge of this hidden mechanism.
