Octagonal porcelain plate. China, Qianlong Period


Octagonal porcelain plate decorated with Famille Verte, Famille Rose and gilt enamels of young boy holding a flowered branch while riding a buffalo. At his sides, terrace enhanced with flowers and weeping willow with young deer.
On left of basin are painted two terraces with peony flowers and ducks. Another in flight overhanging the scene. Outer rim with continuous vine leaf branch.

China, Qianlong Period (1735-1795), circa 1750

Diameter: 22 cm (8-1/2 in.).
