Porcelain plate with "coucou in house" pattern. China, Kangxi Period


Porcelain plate with painted underglaze blue decoration of “coucou in house”. Bird returns from flying and sees its post taken on the pavilion window. Garden enhanced with pierced boulder, one peony and banana tree. Outer rim painted with alternating reserves enclosing bamboos and pine trees.
