Rice sickle. Southeast Asian, 20th Century


Traditional wood and hammered iron sickle for thatching rice. “S” shape composed of two parts Lower winged curve and handle’s upper curve ornated with cobra head. Slightly curved blade. This type of sickle is mostly used in all of Southeastern Asia.
