Théodore DECK (1823-1891).

Ovoid vase fitted with two applied handles designed as lion masks with loop in relief. Low relief decoration of three Greek fretwork friezes alternating with lozenge strewing along the mid-section and base, gadroons on rim with loop in relief, Greek fretwork frieze on border. Vase with turquoise blue enameled ground.

Marked with stamp under the base T.H. DECK.

Early 20th Century.

Height: 33.5 cm (13 in.).

Kiln mistake on rim developed a crack. Slight chips on base.
