Part of a fine earthenware table service known as, "service Rousseau" after the engravings by Félix Bracquemond. Polychrome decoration printed onto a cream ground in the japonisant style with flowers, insects, butterflies, turkeys, roosters, ducks, geese, chicks, quails and fish. Blue painted edges.

Comprising : twelve large plates, fourteen smaller plates, one circular platter, one small basin, one oval ravier, one navette-shaped sauce-boat with integrated stand, one tureen with cover and integrated stand.

Each piece marked on reverse with black stamp Maisons TOY & LEVEILLE réunies 10, rue de la Paix Paris. One plate marked LE ROSEY TOY PARIS.

Diameter of large plate : 24,5 cm (9.6 in.)– Diameter of smallest plate : 22,5 cm (8.8 in.) – Diameter of platter : 32,5 cm (12.8 in.)

Restorated chips. Cracks, stains. Wear on glaze. Restoration on tureen cover.
