Toy: “Pousse-pousse annamite”


Automated toy by Fernard MARTIN, famous manufacturer of French toys during late 19th Century-early 20th Century.
Recognized for his representations of jobs in Paris (bitumen merchant, cooper, hair artist), circus characters (acrobats, jugglers), games and trivia of the time (diabolo player, thief of Mona Lisa).
This toy was created for the Universal Exposition of 1889 and entitled “Pousse-posse annamite”.
Flywheel motor and dimensions are 24 x 14 cm (9-1/4 x 5-1/2 in.).
Minor accidents and losses.

We are including a pull-toy representing a hopping rabbit.
