Hanuman is the 1st commander in chief of the monkey army. He is the son of Vayu, vedic deity and also Dikpala (guardian of directions). His mother is an Apsara immortal under the name of Anjana. He is represented crowned, standing bent knees and at alert towards left with a combative attitude. Hanuman is a being of prodigious force and a symbol of strength. Immortal, he has the power to fly in the air. In the Ramayana, it is told that Hanuman helped Rama find Sita who was kidnapped by Ravana, the Rakshasa-king of Lanka. Hanuman is unanimously venerated because he incarnates the highest worship values and unwavering dedication to the god Rama
