- One rectangular platter with black grooved ground, ornated with red, green and gilt cloud motifs.

The lacquer Zohiko firm has had its headquarters in Kyoto since 1660. The technique employed to realize the makie “scattered” motifs is ancestral. It involves strewing the lacquer while still humid with gold paper very delicately. It entails great skill and unique know-how. This firm notably collaborated with the Vacheron-Constantin company.
